As we watch government and taxes grow every year in West Virginia, we see our bank accounts and individual liberties shrink and our opportunities for a better life for ourselves and our children diminished.
At the recent Eastern Panhandle Business Association forum I was struck by yet another devastating ranking for West Virginia mentioned by several speakers. West Virginia ranks 50th with regard to regulation – making it the most over regulated state in the nation.
What we need instead is a common sense approach to government that promotes free and competitive markets. That must include common sense regulation and budgeting – that will empower us to succeed.
My opponent doesn’t hesitate to use government resources to further the special interests of his supporters, and with money and influence also coming from out of state – from places like New York City and Washington D.C.
I serve no special interests.
My special interest is you, the people of of Jefferson and Berkeley Counties.
Can I count on your support?”
