Senator Patricia Rucker Receives Friend of Nursing Award

Charleston  WV – February 25, 2024.   At the WVNA Policy Summit Dinner and Nurses’ Day at the Capitol event, Patricia Rucker was one of two West Virginia State Senators to be recognized by the West Virginia Nurses Association as a Friend of Nursing.  

“I am so honored to be recognized as a Friend of Nursing”, said Senator Rucker, “nurses are the unsung heroes of our healthcare system. This honor touches my heart. My husband is a nurse and I am very aware of how important this job is” she added, “and here in West Virginia we still have a nursing shortage.  We need to support our nurses every way we can”.
