The Meaning of Memorial Day

Memorial Day is the day set aside for honoring the brave patriots who died in active duty defending our great nation.  There are no words that can adequately express the gratitude I feel toward those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms and our rights.  This Memorial Day I pray for the safety of those currently in service to our nation and I give thanks to all who have served.  We are in your debt.  I pray there comes a day when your sacrifices lead to a lasting peace.
