Happy New Year!

I wish for everyone a happy, healthy and blessed New Year.  2021 was filled with challenges. But challenges make us better and stronger if we accept them and take them on in the right spirit.  Let's work together to make 2022 a great year for each and every one of us!

A Christmas Wish

From my family to you and your family a Christmas wish of peace on earth and good will to men.  My family and I wish you and yours a joyous and blessed Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our lord and savior.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a uniquely American holiday.  No matter what we might face going forward we need to remember that we have so much to be thankful for.  I am grateful for all of the blessings in my life.  I wish you a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!

Veterans Day

Today, as we have done for more than a century, we honor those who have served the United States Armed Forces.  I am grateful to all of you who have served and I always keep you in my prayers.  I am proud to serve in the legislature of the state with the most veterans per capita - West Virginia.  To all of our Veterans, thank you for your service!

Redistricting is Now Complete

The new voting district maps are now complete.  I am happy to report that the West Virginia House of Delegates is now comprised of 100 single Delegate districts.  This will greatly improve accountability.  You can find the information regarding the new district maps here:

The Passing of Pete Dougherty

I am saddened by the passing of Pete Dougherty.  I join with all of us in appreciation for all of his efforts in service to our community. My prayers go out to him and to his family. May his soul rest in peace.

A Day of Remembering

Today marks the 20th anniversary of a very dark day in the history of our great nation.  My prayers go out to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and their families.  We must never forget and we must work together as one nation under God to prevent future tragedies such as what happened on that day.
